Hill starts can be easy?

We all know that a hill start is a dreaded manoeuvre to master, but with a help of one of great driving instructors you’ll soon be a master at it.

Make sure to first prepare yourself and the vehicle to move off. Ensure that you’re in the first gear, and when using the accelerator that you use more and that the noise is louder than it would on a flat surface. Then the most important step is to find the biting point as on a hill it will change from what it usually is on flat surface, once you find it the biting point, make sure to keep your feet still as to not loose it.

Make sure to do you usual checks, look and check all your mirrors and establish that it is clear and begin to slowly release your handbrake. To finds more tips book your lesson with us!

Roundabouts

Getting your head round a roundabout can be quite difficult at first, but we promise that’ll you’ll enjoy them soon enough.

When you see a roundabout man sure that you are prepared and in the correct lane to take the requested exit. Read the roadsigns and the signs on the floor and the roundabout to ensure that you’re in the correct lane. (Although if you do take the wrong exit, thats fine as long as you make sure not to panic and change lanes at the last second). Also make sure that the roundabout you’ll be getting on to is clear, look to the right quarter and ensure you have time and space to enter, do not feel in a rush to enter the roundabout, take your time.

How To Have A comfortable Driving Lesson Part 2

You’ll be spending a lot of time in the car and its best to ensure that you are comfortable in your surroundings as it will help you to feel at ease

When driving for the first time there are many factors that you should take into consideration that may be able to help you to feel more accustomed and in control when driving. This can be adjusting the vehicle so that you are comfortable, make sure that you can see out all your mirrors and that the seat is adjusted to your height. So that you can comfortably reach all the pedals but no so that your knees are pushed against the steering wheel. This may take time a few tries to find the right distance but it will be worth it.

Best Food to Eat to Have a Better lesson

Before a lesson make sure you eat as you can be distracted by hunger and you need your full focus when operating a car especially if its your first time driving.

Different foods and drinks can affect your body in different ways, sometimes with serious negative consequences. A light lunch with a salad or vegetables will give you vitamins and minerals to sustain you. An apple is almost as good as a cup of coffee in waking you up. Plus it contains vitamins, minerals and liquid and water is great as it helps to keep you hydrated and refreshed.

First Lesson nerves

The first lesson, can be nerve wrecking for all of us!

Here are some tips to help you feel more comfortable and at ease, comfortable clothes will do. However the right footwear is vital. Heels are best avoided as it’s difficult to get the leverage you’ll need to operate the pedals. And boots or trainers with thick soles aren’t a good idea either as it makes it difficult to feel the clutch bite. If you usually take any medicine just make sure to double check the label as you want to stay clear of anything that promote drowsiness
