Invalid Licence?

We are here today to warn you all that your driving licence could be invalid if there is a ‘no-deal’ Brexit.

If ‘no deal’ is agreed, motorists may need additional licences of permits to allow them to be able to drive in the EU.

Drivers might need to hold a full UK driving licence and then one or two different international driving permits (IDPS)

Middle Lane Lovers be Warned

Police offers have now stated that they will be harsher with drivers on the motorway that aren’t using the lanes correctly.

The middle and the right-hand lanes purpose are to be used for overtaking, and then drivers should filter back into the left lane. However, many drivers will remain in the middle lane, which stops drivers in the left lane being able to overtake.

This is something your instructor will teach you during your lessons and this will help you gain confidence and ensure you are driving safely.

Police Crack Down on Texting and Driving

In an effort to make our roads safer, Police are using more creative efforts to catch and deter people from using their mobiles while driving and at traffic lights.

They have begun teaming with council bus services to sit in the top of the double-decker buses and observe drivers. This allows them a great vantage point to look into cars and see drivers, which they can then radio into other officers. Not only do drivers get a hefty fine they also receive 6 points on their licence.

Police have also introduced new lower set cameras that will give cameras a clear shot of the driver and whether they are breaking the law, it will also work like a normal camera and send a fine and points form to the keeper who will then pass it to the driver at the time if it wasn’t themselves.

A way that they are catching driver on the motorway on their phones is by having officers driving and using artic lorries which, again offers a great vantage point allowing them to view drivers.

So remember to never text and drive, because no text is worth engendering yourself or others.

70 Self-Driving Vehicles

Apple now has in total 70 self-driving vehicles on the road in California.

While Apple is permitted to test autonomous vehicles, it doesn’t have a driverless car permit, meaning the company is still required to have a driver in the car just in case of emergencies.

Do you think they should remove the drivers?
