CURIOSITY LANDS ON MARS

The Mars robot known as curiosity landed on the Red Planet two weeks ago. It is there to investigate whether the planet ever had the conditions necessary for life.

The vehicle will cover a lot of ground on this mission, taking photos, analysing soil samples and looking at the terrain.

One simple manoeuvre can take a long time but the images will hopefully provide a clear picture of life on Mars.
