A massive thank you to the lovely Neil – I passed my test yesterday first time! Without Britannia I would never have done it! I had previously taken lessons with the AA and had been so terrified by their teaching that I stopped driving for 6 years. When I took up lessons again with Neil I passed after 18 hours. He really boosted my confidence with his no nonsense attitude, believed in my ability and got me through the test with no problems! Only problem is that now I’ve passed I’m going to miss him! Will recommend to anyone I know who is thinking of getting lessons.
Great day! passed my test today after taking 10 hours of lessons over a week with Rob.Rob identified my faults quickly and over the ten hours of lessons corrected them one by one. So by the day of my test I was confident and ready to go. cant thank him enough.

He is very professional and has a great sense of humour. I did an intensive course: a theory test, 6 days of driving and the practical all within two weeks and passed first time. Very pleased with the service received and my instructor Graham was amazing! Very supporting and encouraging as I am a very nervous driver but he built up my confidence immensely. Would definitely recommend!
What can I say about my instructor? Couldn’t have done it without him, had so many different instructors before and just couldn’t cope, then I had 4 lessons with Ian and passed my test first time, not only is he a brilliant instructor, he’s like a friend and puts you at ease when you’re driving. Having not had a lesson for 7 years, I was keen to get my manual driving licence before I was 30 but was daunted by the process of doing so. I chose Britannia over other more well known driving schools because it had good reviews and was a lot cheaper than than most. My instructor Paul made me feel immediately at ease and confident, and was calming and friendly throughout my lessons. He was also very intuitive and knew exactly what I was ready for in each lesson and when I was ready for my test. I was thrilled to pass first time on 5th Sept 2013, with just 4 minors. I feel a huge amount of gratitude for Paul, who was an excellent instructor – I’d recommend him and Britannia.
I just wanted to say big thank you to my driving instructor Tim. He was very helpful in making me pass my driving test first time. I was not expecting to pass first time but Tim helped me a lot and made me correct all my mistakes before my test day.. I would strongly recommend him. He also has a lot of tips which are actually very helpful in making you a more confident driver.. Thank you Tim ..
I have just passed my driving test and am extremely pleased with the way Robert has taught me. Not only does he ensure that driving lessons are fun and enjoyable, he also covers every aspect of driving. I recommend Robert to anyone who is thinking of learning how to drive.
My driving instructor was excellent, very thorough and helped me to not miss a trick. The time keeping was brilliant and my instructor also gave me extra time at the end when it was available and was an overall joy to learn off.
I cannot recommend Elliot as a driving instructor highly enough. He was calm and encouraging throughout, had so many clever tactics and made sure that I learnt to be a confident and safe driver. I passed first time with only one minor and now I am enjoying driving on my own – all thanks to Elliot’s brilliant teaching. Thank you!
I’d like to say a massive thank you to Britannia for helping me pass my test but I’d like to say an even bigger thank you to Donna, my instructor, who boosted my confidence and was the only instructor I really learnt things from. I have had many different driving instructors over the past 8 years but Donna has by far been the best. In such little time she has given me so much knowledge that I will carry with me forever. I would definitely recommend Donna as a driving instructor and Britannia!
I finally passed! I’d like to thank Britannia for Neil. He is one great guy, always positive and with plenty of great stories to tell you. One thing you may be sure when you choose Neil, he won’t rip you off. If he thinks you are ready after 20 hours he will tell you so.No need to spend money endlessly. That’s probably why he is constantly busy 😉 Great instructor with amazing perosnality. Thank you Neil.
I had lessons with James, and I must say that I am very happy that he was my instructor, after I came from another school. He was professional right from the start. Since the first lesson, we focused on improving my weak points and every piece of advice he gave me was very good. He listens and puts so much effort in, its really obvious that he cares about his students. I just passed my test 2 hours ago, 1st time 🙂 I recommed James to anyone, as he’s clearly the best instructor I’ve had.
Just wanted to say how incredibly fantastic my instructor Ian was! I used to hate driving lessons but Ian made them so much fun. What he does is find out exactly what type of person driver you are & what you want from your lessons, how you naturally prefer to learn, and then guides you through it at a pace to suit you. I passed first time with him in just a few months and would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those who’ve had bad experiences in the past and are anxious about driving as a result.
I can’t recommend my instructor James enough. Having come from another school, James was able to quickly access my strengths and weaknesses and focused on improving me on the areas that needed the most attention. His local knowledge is an asset and really helped when I did my test as I knew the roads very well and this gave me lots of confidence. He was also a really nice guy which made the drives enjoyable and less stressful! I passed first time and can’t thank James enough. Highly recommend!!!
Just wanted to say that my driving instructor, Charlie, really gave me the confidence needed for driving – very patient and always looks at the positives rather than dwelling too long on the negatives. After failing at my 1st attempt last year, I decided to take up a 15 hour intensive course with Britannia for my 2nd. I had Elliot as my instructor who was really good and focused on ironing out all my bad habits. I passed and am really pleased with how it all went. Would definitely recommend.
I have just passed my driving test first time, and I was not a natural driver at the start. My teacher was Jon. He was very professional right from the start. After the first lesson he had a plan on how best to teach me, considering my needs. Every piece of advice he taught me was good. He listens and puts so much effort in, its really obvious that he cares about his students. I would reccomend him to anyone.
