Focused and encouraging, John is a highly experienced instructor with quite a character (he calls it Greek Spirit). Count on him to pick apart every aspect of your driving, promoting your good habits and rigorously stamping out your bad habits. Having many pupils with first time passes under his belt, he will focus on developing you into a good driver as well as gearing you towards the practical test. I was a very weak driver three weeks ago with a test fast approaching. Admittedly, I didn’t realise the full extent of this until I made those mistakes on the road. John worked on those mistakes patiently until I was confident in all aspects of driving. He was also very professional and dedicated, working his timetable around mine (I work full time and my hours can be a little uncompromising) and sticking to it even though he should have been at home resting when he was ill (despite constant pestering from his mum). I passed first time today!! Britannia provided all the resources I needed on their website plus more. The lessons were by far the best value for money for the caliber of instructors you’re getting as I’ve trialed AA, RED and two other smaller schools in the past. I believe I could have spent far more time (I did it in under 30 hours) and money if I went with another school in hindsight. Thanks John!!

A big thank you to Mary who helped me overcome my driving nerves! Mary is an excellent tutor who’s helpful advice, knowledge and patience was key to me passing my driving test. I couldn’t have done it without her!

I am very happy with Britannia and my instructor Richard. He was very relaxed and made sure to teach me how to be a good driver and not just so I could pass my test. He effectively identified the weaker aspects of my driving which we worked on, making me a far better driver. After passing my test, I feel very confident driving and I have no doubt that it is entirely thanks to my excellent teacher!

Today I passed my driving test, first time, after 60 hours’ instruction with Wayne, over a period of seven weeks. Wayne really pushed me to achieve a very high standard of driving – higher than the minimum required to pass. It was a good strategy: during the test, nerves obviously affected my driving, but I was still good enough to get through. Wayne was always positive – even when I wasn’t! We spent a lot of time working on my particular areas of weakness, and Wayne gave me excellent advice on how to improve in those areas. He was very encouraging, and helped me get from “never driven before” to “qualified driver” in just a few weeks. I am now planning to take the Pass Plus, also with Wayne. Many thanks for everything.

Taught by the best instructor and passed. Praise God that I passed the test this morning with just 1 minor fault! And I also have to thank John my instructor who has been great throughout the time I took lessons with him. Enthusiastic about his job and particular about safety, he aims to train every one of his students to become the best and safest drivers. He is very precise and is always patient even when I need to practice the same thing over and over again, and he is always thinking of new ways of showing and explaining things to me to help me do better. He is very kind and has given me immense amount of support and encouragement leading me to pass the test today. Thanks John, you are a marvellous teacher!

I recently passed my driving test after a month of lessons with Brittania school. My driving instructor Tim was an especially good and capable instructor. He was immediately able to find weaknesses and talk you through how to rectify them. He also put a good level of trust in me and allowed me to tackle hard roads early on in order to allow me to grow accustom to the hardest potential challenges of the test. I would like to personally thank him for my success and highly reccommend him to anyone who wants to try the test first time round or retake.

Thank you Karen for being such a wonderful instructor. I would recommend Karen to anyone looking to learn…I passed first time with her. She is a lovely person and her teaching methods are amazing. In fact I made my brother take his lessons with her and I will defiantly recommend her further. Thank you again Karen!!!!

I took the intensive driving course with Britannia. I normally have a busy schedule and I had one week window in which I could spend all mornings and pass the test. Thanks to Sam (instructor) I was able to pass the test in single attempt. If you feel that the practical test is nerve wrecking and painful, you need to treat it like a band aid and rip it off in one quick go. The intensive driving programme (12hrs practice plus test) was perfect for my need. My driving instructor, Sam, was extremely helpful and flexible in mentoring me. I had a bit of driving experience but he helped me home the skills required to pass the test. His understanding of what the examiners are looking for was immaculate. Even though I got a few minors due to lack of practice and short time frame it didnt hurt as my general driving, thanks to Sam, was perfect and I passed on the first attempt. The whole Britannia team was very helpful in arranging lessons, booking my test (with 1 week notice) and then the lessons themselves. The whole process took exactly one week when I gave them a call last Wednesday to passing my test today.

I would like to say big thank you & recommendation to Tim for being a brilliant driving instructor. I found his teaching skills, guidance & knowledge very helpful to me for passing my test & becoming a confident & safe driver.

passed my practical test yesterday with the massive help of MARY & VINNI. I started off driving with VINNI who is a brilliant instructor and has a great sense of humour. I was always looking forward to our next lesson and he helped me through the most difficult periods in the beginning. He was on holiday when I managed to bring my test date forward and the girls at Kingston Road introduced me to MARY who took me for my test. She loaded me with incredibly useful tips and advice which were not at all confusing. We practiced the trickiest roundabouts right before the test but MARY’s instructions made it all simple so I wasn’t nervous at all. Thanks ever so much MARY & VINNI – I’ll always be grateful!!

I would like to say thank you to Albert, who helped me pass my test 1st time. Albert installed the correct driving techniques in me. He is also very patient and makes you aware of every mistake you make so you can work on correcting them. I would highly recommend Albert to any student that want to pass. Thanks again.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Jon for getting me through my test! I could not have done it without him. I would highly recommend him not only for his outstanding skills as an instructor, but also for his amazing patience and thoroughly engaging lessons. Jon really did go above and beyond my expectations for an instructor, and I am glad to say we had a lot of fun in the process, especially with Jon’s wonderful, if not sometimes slightly quirky sense of humour! He made learning to drive seem easy!

Richard was a great teacher who supplied me with the tools and gave me the confidence to pass my test 1st time with him. Highly recommended.

I have passed my test today with only two minors! I would like to thank my instructor Sylvie for all her help, and constructive criticism. I would recommend her to anyone learning to drive for the first time, as she is extremely helpful and at the same time quite strict on the road not allowing bad habits to form. Thanks Sylvie! 🙂

Thanks to Charlie! I’ve actually tried to learn how to drive a few times but never felt confident and then lost enthusiasm for it. Finally, with Charlie’s positive attitude and his excellent instruction, I stuck with it and passed yesterday, first time and with three minors! I don’t feel like a driver who learned to pass the test though, I feel like Charlie at Britannia taught me how to read the road and proceed safely whatever the scenario. Finally I feel more confident in my driving.

I was incredibly pleased with the quality of staff at Britannia, the lessons were when I wanted them and the test was booked as soon as I wanted it. The staff at Kingston road were very friendly and helpful. My driving instructor Richard was incredibly helpful and made me feel very comfortable when driving. I recommend him to any learner driver and thank him for helping me pass my test first time….
