I was very nervous about taking my test and because of this my instructor Darren ensured that I was prepared for everything, he tested me on all the routes and ensured I was prepared for the test. Only because of his efforts and dedication was I able to complete and pass my test 1st time round. I was very lucky to be introduced to him as your driving is only as good as the person who teaches you!
If you are an experienced driver without a driving licence and need to finally carry out your driving practical test; from my own experience, the best place to go to is Britannia and the best instructor to use is Nick. Prior to using Britannia, I had used Red where the instructor tried to teach me afresh hence messing my brain up and I felt as if I could not drive. I had to quickly stop using Red. After several months, I decided to look up the internet for another school. I was so impressed when I came across the Britannia Driving School website and I thought I should try them out. Nick was assigned to me and I had 6 lesson with him before the test which I passed with ease. On the first day, he accessed me to determine my level of driving. And all he did was correct my bad habits and perfect the knowledge and skills I already had without messing my brain or teaching me afresh. He also took me around potential test routes and got me used to safe driving which tends to make me a better, safer driver and not just for the purpose of passing the test.
My instructor Charlie was great, he made me feel comfortable in the car and we took everything at a good pace. Overall he was very nice and enthusiastic towards me learning to drive.
I just took my driving test today and passed 1st time. I have my instructor John and Britannia to thank for that. When we started I had quite a few hours of driving lessons that had not helped me much with my confidence. I was at that stage when you begin to question yourself ‘should I insist on this?’ John at Britannia just showed me where my weaknesses were and how to improve them, but from the very first day he made me feel confident I could do it despite my low self esteem that day. He always made me feel rewarded every time I did things right and he knew just how to push me with the right words, without ever being nasty or putting me down. I can definitely recommend John to all learners, but especially to those who, like me, got to the brink of giving up and don’t feel any confidence in their skills. John taught me lessons that I hope to carry on for life. I cannot thank him enough for all the hard work, in the end it was really worth it: passed with only 3 points taken off, first time! Thank you, John, thank you Britannia team!
I can surely say that Britannia Driving School is the best one. I want to say a very big Thank you to Mick because if it was not for him I was not going to pass my driving test at the first attempt. For me Mick is an instructor who everyone would be lucky to have as he was really nice to me even when I was making stupid mistakes he explained everything very carefully to me and made me believe that I can improve my driving to the best quality. If anyone wants to learn how to drive to the best then s/he should come to Britannia Driving School and especially to Mick even though I am absolutely sure that the rest of the driving instructors are just as good as Mick. A very big Thank you to the whole team, the process of learning how to drive a car was a pleasure for me and its all because of Mick and Britannia Driving School! Thank you!!!
Passed my driving test on my first attempt with only 3 minors!!! Now that speaks volumes about my instructor Tim. I was a total nervous wreck initially, but thanks to him I calmed down and he guided me through the entire learning session. He tailor made my sessions in accordance to my areas of weakness and strengths. I would most definitely like to mention his perseverance and his encouragement which kept me motivated primarily in imbibing all that he taught and making learning much easier and fun. So if you are looking for an expert instructor who details you with all correct manoeuvres and information and mentors you through a positive PASS result then I would say “he is the man.”
I was very pleased with the 2 instructors that I had! Nick & Court. They were both knowledgeable & helpful too! Nick saw me through 1 disappointment when I failed the 1st test & gave me encouragement for the 2nd test of which I passed!! Many thanks to both of you!!

I recently just passed my driving test and my driving instructor was called Neil. He is such a laid back and really good instructor. He also believed in me and this eventually helped me to believe in myself and to have more confidence in knowing I can drive. I don’t think I would have passed if it wasn’t for his confidence in me, not first time anyway. He is also very patient and very comfortable to be with during lessons. I would recommend him to anyone.
I have just passed my driving test. I had the best instructor Graham he has been great, friendly, always had time to fit me in i had lots of fun doing my lessons with him.
Big, big thanks to Nick for getting me through my driving test. His teaching style suited me perfectly but when it came down to it he didn’t hesitate to tell me where I was going wrong. I didn’t think I was going to pass but he always had confidence that I would get it done. Thanks Mate! Niall
I am very pleased with Britannia. I had Anthony as my driving instructor, I did four hours a day Monday to Monday and passed my test. Anthony taught me so much and helped me gain my confidence within driving he is a GREAT teacher and I would highly recommend him 🙂 Thank you Britannia and thank you very very much Anthony.
I began taking lessons with another driving school, but wasn’t making much progress due to clashing schedules. I then signed up for an intensive driving course with Britannia -2 hours every day for 6 days- and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life! With so little time before my test (also booked by Britannia, for the week following my lessons) the experience seemed slightly daunting at first, particularly as every lesson I learned something that should have been taught to me at my very first class. However, my instructor -Mark- was absolutely brilliant. His no-nonsense approach put an end to the bad habits I’d picked up with my previous instructors, and his encouragement and positivity regarding my improvements, gave me confidence behind the wheel. So this morning I passed my test -first time! Already discussing a pass plus course with Mark. cannot recommend him enough! thank you

I recently did an intensive driving course with Ian. He was amazing I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, he was calm, reassuring and very positive. Thanks to his help I was able to pass 1st time with only 1 minor. I would highly recommend Britannia’s intensive course and Ian for an instructor!!!
After having one previous driving instructor, with whom I got nowhere, I came across JOHN through Britannia. As I wanted to pass ASAP I took a 15 hour intensive course. John was very professional and with his style it was easy to see how well I was progressing. John knows all there is to know about cars and driving but in addition he understands us as individuals which helps overcome the problem quickly. Though I failed at the first attempt due to my silly error, passing the test second time around with a low number of minors was such a relief. Would I recommend john @ Britannia? 100%!
James has been a fantastic instructor. I would recommend ANYONE looking to learn to drive or is just desperate to pass the driving test…James is the man for the job! I used to drive overseas before but was surprised to know how much I needed to improve before I could get a licence in the UK. James was quick to figure out where do I stand and we had just focused on what I needed to practice on. What I like the most about James is that he is very experienced in what he does and knows exactly what the examiners look for in the test. He would literally get you to adapt all those ‘little things’ which impresses the examiner and you would come across as a safe and careful driver to them. James, thank you again mate and all the best for the future.
I passed my driving test on the 6/1/12 and couldn’t of done it without my driving instructor Nick! I was at ease in driving lessons which made it relaxing and fun to learn. He was extremely patient with me and taught me at a pace I could handle. I lack control over my nerves and without Nick’s help and support I wouldn’t of been ready for the test day. The car I took my lessons in was easy to control and smooth driving :). Thanks again Nick and I’ll see you soon for the pass plus course 😀
