Having Darren as my instructor was the perfect blend of patience, guidance and good humor! This made my lessons very useful and super relaxed. Learning how to drive manual was something I had been postponing for years, yet I passed my test today (first trial), and I know I couldn’t have done it without Darren’s brilliant instructing skills! Highly recommended!
I passed my driving test today! (12th March, 2012). All thanks to Britannia Driving School and my brilliant driving instructor, Jon. On the very first lesson Jon assessed my driving skills and every week I was given clear-cut instructions as to what needed to be improved. For example, I had an issue with my steering, so he dedicated the next lesson just to improve my steering and only until I mastered the skill could I move to to the next problem. This direct approach meant that the lessons were focused, I didn’t waste any time and I was able to develop my skills quicker, than with my previous instructor. I would strongly recommend Jon as a driving instructor because he will definitely make sure you will pass your practical test.
My instructor John was absolutely brilliant. Without his patience, encouragement and excellent teaching skills, it would have taken me ages to go for the test (which I passed first time). I am very grateful to him, for all his hard work and would fully recommend him to any of my friends in the future.
My instructor Mark really pushed me and turned me into a good driver. His methods of explaining and demonstrating were really good. I was very happy to have him. He knew exactly what my weaknesses and strengths were and helped me get all areas of my driving to his own standard rather than the DSA standard.
Lizzie is a really patient instructor. She is very calm and makes you feel at ease from the outset. She is also extremely thorough with everything to make sure you are the best you can be and got me through my test passing first time! I really recommend her!
My instructor Steve was absolutely brilliant. I can honestly say that without his patience, kindness and excellent teaching skills, I would never have passed my test. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone and I am very grateful to him.
Neil is an awesome instructor. I had a six day intensive course with him and I passed first time. I hadn’t had a lesson in 14 years!!! His passive attitude, cool demeanor and great tuition made me feel calm and relaxed even when things did get a little tense, (learning to drive is not easy). On top of all this, I had left my sunglasses in his car and he posted them back to me, he’s a TOP BLOKE!!!!
I had Neil for a 5 day intensive, hes a great bloke who got me through with only 1 minor, put me at ease an i felt fully prepared for my test, 5 star!!!
I passed my driving test today and it was all due to my amazing instructor Mary. She has always been calm and patient with me, took the time to explain things properly if I didn’t understand, was happy to answer any questions and also happens to be very good company too! I can’t thank you enough Mary, I’m really going to miss our lessons. I recommend Mary to anyone who is learning to drive. She is a great teacher and a very kind and caring lady.
Passed today with only 4 minors! I found Tim to be an excellent instructor – very methodical and calm in his approach. He quickly got me to test standard and has made me a safe driver. Highly recommended!
Special thanks to my driving instructor Kevin and all at Britannia Driving School! A couple of days ago, I passed the practical driving test with zero faults. Prior to the exam, I took the intensive driving course offered by Britannia because I wanted to take the test with the lessons I’d learned still fresh in my mind. This methodology of learning, in my case, worked profoundly well. Kevin is an extremely thorough instructor and I credit this aspect of his teaching to my perfect score. Furthermore, he was able to carry out intensive teaching without making the classes overly stressful. I recommend Kevin and Britannia Driving School to any prospective learner keen on maximising his/her chances of passing the exam.

I passed yesterday, all thanks to Tim, who I cannot recommend highly enough. 5 hours of lessons when I was 17 had put me off driving, but 8 years later and I had learnt more in my first lesson with Britannia than all 5 those years before. In just 4 months Tim had me up to test standard, and I passed first time. His approach in the weeks preceding my test were focused on improving and honing my skills. His reaction when you made an (inevitable) mistake was to use it as an opportunity to improve and become a better driver. His knowledge of the test area is excellent, so that when you are out on your test, it is on roads that you already feel comfortable with. Anyone considering learning to drive, should get in touch with Britannia. I could not recommend Tim more highly!
Lizzie at Britannia has been an amazing tutor throughout our lessons. She is a very sensible and understanding person on top of her excellent and outstanding tutoring skill. I highly recommend her as a driving instructor to anyone. She is the most capable of making sure that her students pass their test. She is extremely supportive on top of that.
I booked an intensive course with Neil at Britannia. I already had literally hundreds of hours of lessons with another school and had only applied for 1 practical test (which I failed miserably). I found Neil’s teaching very relaxing, professional and he explained everything perfectly. Before I could never do a reverse around the corner, but thanks to Neil’s reference points I did it perfectly almost every time! He taught me exactly what I needed to know instead of complicating things with extra information. I passed with only 4 minors and I am very thankful for Neil being my instructor. I would definitely recommend him!
I just past my practical driving in Tolworth. Thanks to John he is the best in town, he has a good wealth of experience and is very funny, the only problem is his support for Chelsea. Thanks John.
I passed my driving test yesterday and it’s all thanks to my great driving instructor Tony. Tony listened to my previous international driving experience and worked out a learning programme that would best suit my skills. He was very patient, spoke very nicely when you made mistakes and was always trying to keep your confidence up, by focusing on your positives, and by gently saying that these are not so good skills, so we need to improve them. Even though I could drive, I had many bad habits and was very apprehensive that I could pass my test in only having 5hrs driving lessons, but it worked! I would definitely recommend Tony if your are a first time or experienced driver because he has great patience. The customer service at Britannia was also great, as they listened to what I wanted and chose a suitable instructor for me, unlike the AA who just wanted to sell me lessons and when I paid for Automatic car lessons, they hooked me up with a manual car instructor, and then told me it would take 7 days to refund my money back. Go with Britannia, you will not be disappointed!
Matt provides excellent instruction. Prior to Matt I was with a large national school, with time I realised they were overrated. Will definitely recommend prospective students to the Britannia.
Robert was the best instructor I could have asked for! I always felt safe with him, but he also allowed me to improve at the correct level as time went on. Very very grateful and couldn’t have passed my test without him! 10/10
