I’ve had Neil as an instructor for the better part of the past year and today I passed my practical test on the second attempt. Neil’s been a fantastic instructor and I’ve enjoyed the experience thanks to him, Thank you.

I had driving lessons with another driving school for 2 periods of about 3 months. I made the decision to change driving schools as I was not progressing at the rate I thought I should have been. I joined Britannia and my instructor was Vinni. What a fantastic instructor! I can’t recommend him highly enough; very patient and motivating, he pushed me to my highest possible potential. Started lessons with him on March 8th, passed 4th May. Thank you Vinni!
PASSED ON A SECOND ATTEMPT – I took an intensive course for a complete beginner and it worked. My instructor was Ian, he was gentle and very understanding always praising every effort and quick to correct any mistake. I was unsuccessful on my first attempt even though I had five minors, but my observation skill let me down. Went straight back to the office and booked for another test, two weeks later was back for the test and passed. All this was achieved within three weeks both the lessons and the two tests. My God is awesome, I strongly recommend Ian to anyone. I passed on the 8th of May.
I passed my test with Mary first time and I can’t recommend her as an instructor highly enough! She made me feel confident about driving from the start which not only made a huge difference in progressing quickly but also in making the lesson more enjoyable. She was always super calm, friendly and such a lovely person. If anyone is apprehensive about starting to learn to drive I strongly recommend Mary as an instructor. Now just to take on board her advice about buying a car too!
A massive thanks to Nick who helped me pass my test first time with clear and patient instruction over several months. The lessons were tailored to my level all the way from absolute beginner through to being test ready and I would definitely recommend Nick to any future learners. The people at Britannia were all friendly and helpful whenever I spoke to them, so thanks to them as well.
I passed my driving test first time with Britannia Driving School and I have the wonderful Sylvie to thank for it. After struggling with instructors from other driving schools… I was apprehensive the first day Sylvie picked me up in South West London…but how wrong could I have been! She was patient, detailed, communicative, she made me feel at ease. She didn’t say that I needed 50 lessons just to make more money out of me. She restored my confidence in driving and because of her great and caring personality as well as her fantastic way of teaching, I was more then confident when I met the examiner on the day of my test, even though it was pouring with rain.!! I couldn’t recommend the Britannia Driving School enough! and if you are based in SW London… ask for Sylvie as your instructor. Seriously…? 10 out of 10!!
I wanted to recommend my driving instructor – Albert! I passed my first test with him. It was always a nice time with him on the lessons. Gives good advice and is a good teacher! Go with Albert! Gil.
Don Kev! Or Kevin! When I started driving with Kevin, my standard of driving was dreadful and I’m sure any other driving instructor would have dismayed and postponed my test. However not for a second did Kevin doubt me and if ever I was struggling, we would pull over, he would buy me a coffee and explain the maneuver simplistically. Within 5 days Kevin raised the standard of my driving from my own error riddled boy racing style to his extremely perfectionist style and I cruised through my test and passed first time with only 5 minors. Would recommend Kev to anyone, he is the best driving instructor in the southwest!
NO ONE WOULD MAKE THE DISASTROUS MISTAKE THEN WHAT I DID ON MY TEST. I forgot to put the seat belt before setting off on my test and then examiner prompted me to put the seat belt. During the complete test I drove with feeling that I have already failed and guess what I passed with flying colours only two minors and he ignored my major mistake because I drove it so well. This is all down to how well I was thought by my instructor Tim. If we give level to learner drivers “1 = Excellent, 2=Good, 3=Bad” then I would say I was at level 3 with my driving skills before I started my lessons with Tim. I had two driving instructors before Tim and failed twice with dangerous faults. And being a family man with two little kids, I always wanted to be good driver then just pass my test. I was quite fortunate to get Tim. He has great quality of attention to details. During the lesson he picks really minor mistakes and eventually you become a safe and confident driver. So here is the little mathematical equation: CONFIDENT AND SAFE DRIVER + GREAT CHANCE TO PASS YOUR TEST = TIM FROM BRITANNIA
I just passed my test today 1st time, and it was all down to my instructor Jon! He’s the best and I’m so glad I had him to teach me! Thanks again Jon!!
I’ve just passed my driving test and its down to one very special lady……MARY! From the moment I had my first lesson with Mary, I felt calm and relaxed whilst driving and always looked forward to the next lesson. I cannot recommend Mary enough, she is simply fantastic and I am looking forward to completing Pass Plus in the near future.
I passed my driving test on Monday and it was all thanks to Darren. I couldn’t of done it without him. He was patient, understanding, trusting and most of all enthusiastic (even on my bad days). Darren taught me everything I needed to learn and more, as well as being flexible and understanding with my full time work schedule. He creates a calm, relaxing and friendly enviornment making even the most nervous of beginners at ease. I can’t praise him enough. It would be a mistake to not go to him first!
Having reached a stage where I had to finally learn to drive due to a new job outside of London I decided to book an intensive course with Britannia. Everything went well right from the start; booking the course was very easy and the lessons themselves absolutely perfect. I especially want to thank Tony my instructor and recommend him extremely highly for the lessons he gave me. From the basics to higher speed driving and driving in very busy traffic at all times he was the perfect teacher. If I failed to grasp any of the basic skills (reversing around a corner took a few attempts) he was able to explain the technique in very understandable terms. Britannia were able to get me a driving test on the day after my 6 day intensive course and I passed with only two minor faults. Many thanks again to Tony who has enabled me to move on to my new job and further my career. Book your training with Tony and Britannia and like me you will pass!!
I recently took some refresher lessons with Tim, having not driven for about 5 years. He was very kind and patient and pitched the lessons at the right level for my needs. I would recommend him to anyone feeling anxious about learning to drive or needing a bit of practice.
I had a fantastic instructor called John – he helped me to pass first time with only two minors. He was friendly, calm and helpful throughout – and also pushed me to really improve my driving skills ahead of the test. I would definitely recommend John and Britannia Driving School to anyone learning to drive. He even brought sweets to help along the long lessons! Alex
I had taken 20 lessons with Neil from Britannia and what more could I say than he was an excellent instructor. He makes learning to drive so simple, explains when you are going wrong and makes you feel confident, I was over the moon when I passed first time. So a massive thanks to Neil. Keep up the teaching Neil, I’m sure many others will be thanking you soon.
I passed my test yesterday and would like say a massive thank you to Neil. He taught me to be “polite” on the roads and was a very patient instructor. Above all though he was great company. Thanks Neil!

Neil is an awesome driving instructor. From the very first lesson, he was attentive, kind, helpful and encouraging. Neil allows you to drive at your own pace, offering important suggestions along the way to help you improve your overall driving skills and attention and awareness on the road. He takes you on several routes that might crop up on the test which is very imperative as familiarity of your surroundings is relaxing and calming during a test. He has belief in his own driving techniques and is confident in passing them to the learner, offering consistency and self-belief to his clients. I passed with 5 minors on a manual car and feel totally confident in myself because of him. His car is also very smooth to drive and I really enjoyed my driving lessons with him. A wonderful instructor definitely leads to a confident person learning how to drive! 🙂
