The Highway Code is an invaluable tool for any learner driver – If you are learning to drive, then it is essential for you to get hold of a copy, and to pore over this as much as possible, soaking up every last scrap of information it has to offer – And then reading through it again!

Not only will being fluent in the Highway Code dramatically improve your chances of passing the Driving Theory Test, it will also make you a much safer – And therefore, much better – Driver in the long run!

If you’re currently learning to drive, you may well be nervous about the upcoming obstacles you may soon have to face – For example, after you’ve taken the first step by starting your driving lessons, the next hurdle will be the dreaded Theory Test.

It is also advisable to get a regular service for your car – Just once a year should be fine – To make sure your motor is always in tip-top condition.

There are a great many hazards you may face when behind the wheel – These could be as mundane as poor weather conditions rendering roads unsafe for driving on, to something as extreme as multi-car pile-ups on the motorway or drunk drivers putting others in danger!

So why make driving more dangerous for yourself? One common way many motorists do this is by eating behind the wheel. Whilst it is not illegal, we do advise to exercise caution if you are eating when driving, as it can greatly impair your concentration.

One thing that can always be helpful is having a friendly driving instructor. This can really make the entire process of learning to drive much easier by relaxing you when behind the wheel – However, beware that if you are good friends with your instructor, he or she may not find it easy to criticise you if you are making mistakes!
