Britannia observed the two minute silence at 11am – the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month to commemorate those who have died in conflicts since the First World War.
Remembrance Day signifies Armistice Day, 11 November 1918, where the guns fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.
Adam Bush of Britannia Driving School, who attended a memorial service in Wimbledon Village, said that he found the service ‘very moving’.
Three senior Britannia instructors who are war veterans paid special respects to those who have fallen in the wars, remembering fellow servicemen who died or were injured in recent conflicts.
Britannia sends their thoughts out to those who have lost loved ones in the wars.
